Thomas Niles is from Atlanta, GA, and is currently based in Queens, New York. Thomas uses his craft to draw a deeper, more personal, and intimate side out in the films he edits. He cut the Sundance Award-winning nonfiction short GHOSTS OF SUGAR LAND, which was distributed by Netflix and went on to be a part of the 2020 Oscars shortlist. He also edited the iconic Baltimore-based film 12 O’CLOCK BOYS, which premiered at the SXSW Film Festival and was featured on Paste Magazine’s 100 Best Documentaries of All Time. Other projects include NIGHT SCHOOL, which premiered at the Tribeca Film Festival and was directed by Emmy Award-winning director Andrew Cohen. As well as IN MY OWN TIME, executive produced by Wim Wenders, and PHANTOM COWBOYS which premiered in competition at the Tribeca Film Festival. Thomas recently edited his first narrative feature, HARKA, an Arabic-language film set in modern day Tunisia.
